Dave Gilmour was elected to the Jackson County Board of Commissioners in 2002 and serves as the Chair of the Board for 2006. For the 2006 calendar year, Dr. Gilmour serves as the Board’s liaison to the County Administrator, County Audit, County Counsel, and Library Services. He is also the liaison to Jackson County Health and Human Services, which includes the following advisory committees: Ambulance Quality Assurance, Animal Control, Commission on Children and Families, Local Alcoholism and Drug Planning, Mental Health, and Public Health. Dr. Gilmour is also liaison to the following non-county departments: Air Quality, Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Regional Problem Solving (RPS), Rogue Valley Area Commission on Transportation (RVACT), Rogue Valley Council of Governments (RVCOG), and Water Quality and Quantity. Dr. Gilmour graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and then received a medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, School of Medicine in 1974, and completed his internship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He then spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Apia in Western Samoa. He did his medical residency at the University of Hawaii/Kaiser Hospital from 1979-1981.
